Pastel Waterscape

On Tuesday, Carolyn Weins taught Pastel Waterscape as a part of our Landscape Series. During this three-hour class, students created a summer waterscape inspired by Monet's Japanese pond and water lilies. The focus in this class was intense, and the students' hard work definitely paid off. Check out the beautiful results below!

Don't miss out on more Landscape Series offerings in the 2014 Fall Brochure. These classes each focus on a different medium and/or style of landscape. Students are encouraged to enter their class work in our November Landscape Show, or to use the classes as inspiration for a different landscape piece.

Happy Art Hour

We had a very fun Happy Art Hour on Tuesday at the Spotted Dog Winery. Instructor Jean Canavan taught her students how to paint a beautiful ocean landscape, using a simple to follow, step-by-step process. The class was the largest we've had yet, and students enjoyed wine and snacks provided by the Spotted Dog while they painted. All of the paintings turned out great! It was a perfect way to capture the fleeting moments of summer.

The class was so popular that we decided to add a repeat session next Tuesday, August 12, from 7 to 9pm at the Spotted Dog Winery. If you'd like to sign up, call Two Twelve Arts Center at (734)944-ARTS (2787) to register. Fee is $50 per person, which includes all materials, wine and snacks. We hope to see you then!

Happy Art Hour will continue in the Fall on Thursday evenings. Gather your group of friends and call Two Twelve Arts Center to reserve a date!
