Michele Montour taught Felt Landscape Collage a couple of weeks ago, and the collages turned out great! Her students created collages with needle-felted wool fabric that was layered, and then combined using the process of wet felting. The collages will be a perfect addition to our Landscape Series Show, which is scheduled for November.
Cathy Harmon taught Fairy Doors a few weeks ago as well. Cathy's student made a fairy door out of clay that is sure to brighten up any fairy's day. Stop by Two Twelve and take a look outside…You might just spy a special little fairy door for our 212 fairy. :)
Two Twelve will be closed next week, Monday, June 30 through Friday, July 4. Happy 4th of July, everyone! Have a safe and happy holiday weekend!

If you've never heard of a YARN BOMB, check out this post about our first Yarn Bomb in 2012. We've had so much fun Yarn Bombing the past couple of years, that we decided to do it again this year. Check out all of the fun photos below! What a great start to our summer at Two Twelve! Thanks to everyone who helped us with the knitting and the installation.
Bring nature indoors while learning basic hand building and carving techniques to create a Nature Based Tile Triptych. Jennifer Lupton will be teaching this two-part class in the pottery studio on July 16 & July 18, from 9am to 12pm. Call Two Twelve Arts Center at (734)944-2787 to register! Looks like fun! Jennifer was inspired by Van Gogh's Starry Night, but students will be free to use any type of landscape as their inspiration.

Before the craziness of Summer Kids Camps ensue, we've had some pretty fun and unique Adult Classes here at Two Twelve. This week, a couple of those classes included Fairy Doors, taught by Cathy Harmon, and Steampunk Jewelry, taught by Kelsey Keyes.
In Fairy Doors, students began their creation of rustic and whimsical fairy doors in the pottery studio. These fun doors will be glazed and decorated--and then they're free to be placed indoors or outdoors, where fairies can move in! :) Can't wait to see how these Fairy Doors turn out!
In Kelsey's Steampunk Jewelry class, students chose from a variety of gears, brads, rivets, links, propellers, and more to create very unique pins and pendants. Take a look at the results below!
