January and February at My Favorite Café
"Nature Interpreted in Fiber; Macro to Landscapes," an exhibit featuring the work of Brooks Hinerman, is now on display at My Favorite Café in Saline.
Merging her two favorite mediums, art quilting and nature photography, Brooks' exhibit features images taken primarily from Southeast Michigan. Using her photographs as patterns for quilts, Brooks thread paints those patterns to enhance them with beautiful detail and a three dimensional effect. Her eye for composition, color, design and detail comes from years of close study of images through the camera lens.
There will be an artist's reception at the café on Sunday, January 26, from 3 to 5pm. Stop by to meet and chat with the artist and support the local café.
